Course Objectives
• gain a deeper understanding of the differentiated ways in which
climate change affects men and women
• analyse international frameworks and their approaches to gender
mainstreaming in both adaptation and mitigation.
• acquire skills for gender mainstreaming in adaptation and mitigation
at policy and implementation level

Learning Outcomes
Plan and implement gender-responsive strategies
•Identify and analyze the links between gender and sustainable development
•Identify and analyse gender intersections in policy, research and capacity
•Situate gender in broader project and programming contexts
•Design and execute gender responsive projects and activities
Target participants (max. 30):
We are targeting a maximum of 30 participants including regional and national policy makers (across sectors), university faculty
and researchers, the private sector, civil society, national and international governmental and non-governmental organizations.
Non-Kenyans:2000 USD
Kenyans: 1000 USD
Charges are inclusive of tuition, course material, meals and accommodation for 5days
