University of Nairobi
The University of Nairobi through the African Women’s Studies Centre (AWSC) is offering Master of Arts and Diploma programs in Women, Leadership and Governance in Africa (M.A in WLGiA & Dip. in WLGiA). The programs mainly target political and other leaders as well as any individual interested in matters of leadership and governance as well as women in decision making positions throughout Africa.
The Program aims at contributing to the transformation of African governance institutions and leadership styles through scholarship and research in addition to producing graduates with adequate knowledge of state, political and socio-economic institutions and structures; how these institutions respond to interests and concerns of African women and how women’s leadership is changing African politics. These scholars will be expected to be able to respond to the interests and concerns of women’s experiences, knowledge and aspirations while embracing divergent worldviews.
Registration for the programs which will commence in January 25, 2016 is now open. The programmes will be offered at the University of Nairobi main campus/Kenya Science campus (please see attached flier).
