MASTER OF ARTS DEGREE SCHOLARSHIP FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2014-2015 AT THE UNIVERSITY OF NAIROBI

The African Women’s Studies Centre, University of Nairobi, exists to promote scholarship and influence policy from African women’s perspectives through research, teaching, publication and dissemination and engaging with policy makers.

Towards this end, the AWSC is offering a Master’s degree scholarship for the academic year 2014-2015 at the University of Nairobi.

To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  1. Should have graduated from the University of Nairobi in 2013 (from any discipline);
  2. They must have at least 2nd class Upper division;
  3. The applicant must commit that their thesis/dissertation will focus on African women (irrespective of the discipline).

Interested candidates should send the application to ‘awsckenya@uonbi.ac.ke’ or drop hard copies at the Main Campus, Education Building Room 106. The applications should include the following:

  1. Name
  2. ID Number
  3. Transcripts & Certificates
  4. College
  5. Department
  6. Contact details

Applications addressed to the Director, African Women’s Studies Centre, must be received by Monday, October 20, 2014 by 3:00pm.

Interviews will take place on Friday, 21st October 2014 at 10:30am at Room Ed 116.
