The African Women Studies Centre University of Nairobi team led by the Women in Leadership Program Lead Prof. Tabitha Kiriti-Nganga, participated in an In-Person Convening of Women in Leadership (WiL) Community of Practice (Cop) organised by Busara Africa. The convening aimed at fostering deeped relationships and learning among partners working towards promoting women’s participation in leadership both in the fields of economics and law. Those present represented ten (10) orgaisations/instituions from Kenya, Nigeria and Asia namely:

  1. University of Nairobi African Women Studies Centre,
  2.  Expertise Global,
  3. Strathmore Business School,
  4. Policy Innovation Centre,
  5. Inclusion Economics India Centre,
  6. National Council of Applied Economic Research (NCAER), India
  7. Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (JPAL) South Asia,
  8. National Law School,
  9. Centre for Law and Policy Research, and
  10. MAP International.

The participants focused on writing and refining their project modules; gaining perspectives from each other on anaysis of the present state, and expected change in their unit of focus; building trust and connections to enable organisations/institutions to learn from each other.
